Someone told me that with autism your lows are lower and your highs are higher. This month I've felt both.
These last few days have been so wonderful and I have felt heaven's help. Elise has sat through sacrament meeting 2 weeks in a row now without having to leave.
In Speech she did awesome! She didn't have any meltdowns. Elise is creating an attachment to her speech therapist and I couldn't be happier. Today when I took her to OT she saw her speech therapist in the waiting room and walked right up to her with a huge smile on her face and great eye contact. The therapist acknowledged her and gave her a hug. For 5 minutes Elise would walk up to her then turn around and walk back by me where it was "safe." She had a smile the whole time and couldn't stop looking at her. I am so glad she is doing so well with her.
I LOVE being a mom to my 5 kids; one with special needs. There is no greater joy than being a parent! I love each one individually but this blog will mostly focus on our daughter with special needs and our journey with her. Thanks for reading!
